this install method worked flawlessly for me, but it took a while. remember to
replace ${basearch} with your architecture (i386, x86_64, etc.)

Anthony, I tried it and it worked up until the installation. Then it
gave me an error message saying that a file was corrupt at the very
beginning of the installation and recommended trying a different ftp
site. Would you be kind enough to give me several host sites and
folders to try? Thanks :-)
