OK. But, you really shouldn't need to do that (as you know). Modules really aren't supposed to be loaded unless needed, so that conversely, if they're loaded they must be needed by someone even if it's only the bootup process.

Maybe there's a kernel-oriented mailing list you can ask on that will give you some more specific help.
