Greets all; FC6 box here, trying to keep it up to date. I just had to revert the kdepim here to version 3.5.6-0.2.fc6.i386.rpm. Why? It seems the recent update here, that put in 3.5.6-6 which is only half-assed done due to a missing library message from smart or yum if I include any of the graphics stuff, is also accompanied by missing libraries such as /usr/lib/kde3/kcm_kmail.la, a minor detail that disables kmail's ability to send mail, or to access its configuration from the pulldown. Why the deps resolution didn't catch that I have NDI. The other missing library that prevents the full update is (from yumex) 13:27:03 : failure: kdnssd-avahi-devel-0.1.3-0.1.20060713svn.fc6.i386.rpm from release: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. That's from checking ONLY the kdegraphics to be updated. Dependencies pull in a couple of -devel packages, and they pull in this. I don't use avahi here, but if I try to remove it, it will also rip out about 150 megs worth of other kde stuff, and that's a bad dog, no bisquit to me. So what became of the 3.5.6-6.fc6 updates that have been visible for a week now? Too much of this maybe? -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
