Hello! I know this might be a little off topic for the list, but I am at wits end. I just recently changed back to fedora, I installed fedora 7 on my two hp dv9208nr laptops and just as with suse 10.2 I have to use the ndiswrapper to get the broadcomm 4311 to work. The problem is wlan0 is not allowing a windows guest on my wife machine to connect to the lan or wan. On suse 10.2 when I setup vmware workstation 6 and bridged to the wlan0 interface it worked. On fedora it does not, I can ping the local host address from windows and ping windows host (when running) from the local host address. On this machine the local address is 192.168.1.80 and the guest address is 192.168.1.81 with the latter being bridged to the former. I have posted this to the vmware forums and so far I have not found a solution. If it worked in suse 10.2 then I should be able to get it working in fedora 7, I just have run out of ideas.
Faulty, wishful thinking. Different kernels and drivers. Would be nice if it all just worked, though. Have you filed a bug report so that the developers are alerted to the problem?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. -- John Registered Linux User 263680, get counted at http://counter.li.org -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
