You can use the repo info in the DVD and it has the group information
in it. However, yum has a bug which shows up only when you try to do
so. See
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=241604. The work
around is to use the patch at comment #2.

However, I found that that patch introduces (or unmasks) yet another
bug. That I solved like so:

sed -i "484,+8s/ return int(fragid)/return int(fragid)/"\
     /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/packages.py
