Could be but I doubt it.  I think my problem relates to the removal of
Onstream Tape support from the kernel.  I still have an old Onstream
DI-30 installed.  I don't care to use it under linux so it's fine if
it's not recognized but I wish there was a parameter I could use to
avoid probing of the device and the corresponding delay.  Removing the
device isn't an option as I still use it occasionally under Windows.
