What do you mean by 'repackage' the 8.36.5 fglrx drivers
and then updating them? Do you mean the kmod-fglrx package
or the xorg-x11-drv-fglrx package. I was under the impression
that the 2.6.21 kernel required changes in 8.36.6. Are you
even running the fglrx drivers with the necessary kernel
module loaded? I assume there are two possibilities here...
1) Leave kmod-fglrx-8.37.6-1.2.6.21_1.3194.fc7 installed
(which doesn't seem to show an error when loading) and
hope that the xorg-x11-drv-fglrx-8.37.6-1.lvn7 can
properly load with the older xorg-x11-server-Xorg package
installed.
2) Install the older 8.36.5 xorg-x11-drv-fglrx package
and rebuild the kmod-fglrx package for that release.
