Cause and effect. Before you had free space. Now it's formatted. There
is nothing to be worried about. Windows does not recognize *nix or
other "foreign" partitions. If it bothers you to see these partitions
in W2K just go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->  Storage ->
Disk Management (local) and disable the showing of the partitions.
