Hi,

I installed the NVIDIA drivers from LIVNA to get my dual-head setup
working as the stock xorg nv driver is totally broken when two
monitors are connected to the same graphics card.

Now I wanted to test the shiny new graphics effects offered by compiz,
but I can't get compiz to work at all. It always tells me:

compiz: No RandR extension

This indicates that Nvidia's binary blob does not implement an X extension that's required by compiz.

Right now I'm running metacity without any problem.

metacity probably does not require the server to have the RandR extension.
