Fedora 7 suspend-resume on Lenovo X60 with 3945 wireless

I have a new X60 laptop and have installed Fedora 7 x86_64. I am using
NetworkManager. I can't get the laptop to reliably suspend and resume. I
have followed the instructions from
  http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/quirk/index.html
and added the s3-bios and s3-mode quirks to the fdi file (my model is
1709), and I've put an executable unload_modules file in /etc/pm/config.d
with the line "SUSPEND_MODULES="iwl3945 mac80211". (I also tried without
the mac80211.)

A couple of times I have been able suspend and resume once, but to get the
wireless network back after the resume, I have to "modprobe -r iwl3945;
modprobe iwl3945" and then I couldn't successfully suspend and resume again
without a reboot.

Sometimes I get a screen (maybe several screens--it goes by too fast to be
sure) with lines like
iwl3945: Channel 196 [5.2GHz] is Tx only --skipping.
After a lot of those (with different channel numbers, of course), I see
  Stopping tasks ... done
  Suspending console(s)
And it hangs there, The "crescent moon" LED flashes, but the machine stays
on. I can switch to a console and type root at the login prompt, but
nothing happens. And once, I saw repeated messages saying "iwl3945:
REPLY_ADD_STA failed".

I just tried to hibernate and got the same kind of problem:
lots of Channel N is Tx only --skipping, then a "Stopping tasks ... done",
"shrinking memory ... done (57758 pages freed)", "Freed 231032 kbytes in
0.65 seconds (355.43 MB/s)", and "Suspending console(s)", where it hung.

I'd appreciate any suggestions for how to solve this or what to do to help
debug it.

  George
