Many laptops have CD only and a DVD drive for one of those may exceed the value
of the laptop, if you can get one at all.

$25 (or $37) can add up even on desktop machines, if you have several and must
spend X amount of time tearing each one apart to add a DVD drive to it.

Doesn't bother me, though -- I just put it on my fileserver and boot from a CD
and install from there. (None of my computers have a DVD drive either.)
