Switching from 32 to 64 bit kernel

I recently built a Fedora 6.93 system with a 32 bit kernel. Due to issues with the 32 bit Xen kernel I would like to test out the 64 Xen kernel. However I have no idea if this will break things given that the system and all of the software that I have loaded are all 32 bit versions.

Can anyone tell me if this switch is possible?

Langdon
