(I think you > said you were using FC-6 earlier in the thread..) I think there is a bug, and I didn't report it. :( I was using this, originally, to setup the printer: sudo foomatic-configure -s cups -n epson -N "Epson Stylus CX3810" -L "Office" -c /dev/usb/lp0 -d gutenprint-ijs-simplified.5.0 -p Epson-Stylus_CX3810 But, each time I did that, I'd get this error: Cannot read file /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver/gutenprint-ijs-simplified.5.0.xml! Driver file /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver/gutenprint-ijs-simplified.5.0.xml corrupted, missing, or not readable! Could not run "foomatic-combo-xml"/"foomatic-perl-data"! at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/Foomatic/DB.pm line 572. I made sure the PC in question was fully updated - still got the error. I had to install gutenprint from source in order to use the printer. I'm actually surprised no one else has reported this. I don't think it's isolated to just me. I've seen this on an older and fresh installs. Regards, Ranbir -- Kanwar Ranbir Sandhu Linux 2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 i686 GNU/Linux 18:03:14 up 5 days, 4:43, 2 users, load average: 1.38, 1.40, 0.96
