Yes - by editing the appropriate share in /etc/samba/smb.conf. Either add
individuals, as
valid users = mary fred
or (preferred) as
valid users = @groupname

well
i have done valid users = mar fred
but problem is that the system is configured to authenticate through Windows
Active Directory Server
and when i try to access the share i just created with valid users = may
fred
it doesnt authenticates me
seems there is a problem in authentication that Samba is confused about that
from where it should authenticate the given credentials
