The ATrpms intel firmware packages have been coordinated with intel engineering *and* legal and are "officially" blessed by Intel on their own webpages on each wireless project old and new they maintain. Of course there is a difference of officially endorsed by Intel or by Fedora. Anyway, John, remove ipw3945-firmware (1.13 is outdated and not recommended by upstream anyway) and do yum install ipw3945 ipw3945-kmdl-`uname -r` and if you want to never ever think about kernel updates do also yum install yum-plugin-kmdl > Alternatively add exclude=ip3945-firware* to /etc/yum.conf if you want > to retain the third party repository package. -- Axel.Thimm at ATrpms.net
