Thanks that is a good refresher cause I have always had trouble with permissions.

This is normal under standard permissions. You have to change the permissions and in the case of /home/{directory}, you will have to do it as root.

Files within /home/SonyCam could be moved/copied if the immutable bit is set to the right value and groups are created. Or the directory could be setup with no security.
