Well the log seems clear enough. There are support files for your
printer missing from your hlips installation. So where did they go? You
said you did an upgrade. Was hplips upgraded?
Personally I am superstitious. I install the HLIPS package from
sourceforge if it is still there. 
This is unrelated but just recently an unintentional update of the
NetworkManager related packages stopped wireless from working correctly.
