the presense of your files. The usual methadology is format and
reinstall.
No, there are three methods known to fix windows problems and you always
try them in this order: (1) reboot, (2), reinstall windows, (3) reformat.
Fedora&RedHat:

the situation above, most of your work is lost !
As long as yum is still working, it can re-install anything it
uninstalled. If yum quits working, you might need to boot the install
CD in rescue mode to fix things.
