We need to publish technical drawings as pdf documents i.e. convert dxf to pdf. So, experimenting in a small way first, I prepared the outline of a drawing border, 15mm in from the edge of A4 landscape paper, using qcad. qcad appears to export to everything except pdf, so I set the proper paper size, centred it and told it to print to a file, creating print2.ps Converted the postscript file to pdf, after discovering somewhere using google the trick to get a properly A4 sized pdf:- ps2pdf -sPAPERSIZE=a4 print2.ps Opening these files by clicking on then in konqueror, they look like identical documents. A rectangle perfectly centred on an A4 sheet. Now the mystery. If I tell konqueror to print, the rectangle is the correct size but shifted down the sheet by about 8mm. Same result with both the postscript and the pdf files. Any idea why it shifts the rectangle down the paper? I have here, an Epson Stylus Photo 950 which I know is capable of printing to all edges of the paper. The pdf file is tiny, so I've attached it for anybody who is interested to look at.
