No. legacy grub doesn't deal with software raid. You can use raid 1, because
filesystems on raid 1 look like they would without raid.

1, I just found the Grub can't be booted ( one of HDs ) .
2, Sorry, don't quite understanding your means...

PS: I'm tring to install two of S-ATA HDs with RAID 1 ( mirror ).
