After booting, try running "aplay -l" and see if it gives a proper
listing for card 0, or if you get an error. What I have found is
that ALSA can not set volume levels with rc1 on the ICH7. The audio
works, but you can not control the volume, so you may or may not
hear sound depending on the levels on boot. Trying to run alsamixer
will also error out.
