Simply moving the location of the monitor may change the wobble, if you've got electromagnetic interference from something near it. Hand editing the xorg.conf file to preset a specific monitor, or provide specific parameters, and/or remove some automatic options might help avoid the changes. -- (This box runs FC6, my others run FC4 & FC5, in case that's important to the thread.)
