There has always been a network installation method in Fedora and steps
were given even earlier in the thread.
Yes, I know about the network installation method. But that's not the
same as a "minimal install", where you get a fully functioning (but
very Spartan) system safely installed from a CD, and then you can
start yumming the extra packages as needed.
The rescue cd might work as a minimal install. Otherwise it would be
trivial to create with either Pungi or Pilgrim

I am looking at creating a somewhat minimal one myself as a live cd.
