I also voted for Ubuntu, with the same reasoning. Although I use
Fedora at home (and on the lappy), I install Ubuntu for new users. The
bleedingly clueless do not need the bleeding edge of software.

It doesn't matter what distribution you vote for as long as Dell is
willing to and eventually going to offer their customers a choice
including Linux.
