I've noticed that, in the past, too. I haven't checked against it more
recently. Since I changed to using a USB mouse the wild mouse issue has
reduced a lot. Now, I see an occasional tendancy to dart off in one
direction and stop, as if there's poor mouse acceleration control.
Before, if the mouse went wild, it'd go zooming off in all directions
and start clicking on things, as well. I used to have to yank the mouse
lead out to stop that.
