There are two identical Dell PowerEdge 2900 -servers. One is running with 32-bit kernel and the other with 64-bit kernel. There are no problems booting the servers with kernel-2.6.18-* and no booting-problems with the 32-bit kernel-2.6.19-* but the 64-bit kernel-2.6.19-* (NOT ONE OF THEM) does not boot. Here is the output from /var/log/messages for the hanging 64-bit kernel-server: Mar 6 13:40:04 vara syslogd 1.4.1: restart. Mar 6 13:40:04 vara kernel: klogd 1.4.1, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
