hi, did you ever tried to do a manual telnet to school web server's port 80 ? # telnet school.server.com 80 If your Linux terminal throws back a error immediately you will know what is the problem. Otherwise, this should stay for some time, then just type: get index.html and see if get any response from the server regards Yogesh On 2/25/07, Evan Panagiotopoulos <epanagio@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I hope this is the correct forum for this type of question. With my Fedora and Firefox I was able to go anywhere. A few days ago a "strange" thing started happening where I cannot go to my school's web server. I can ping the server without any issues, I can access it using the same computer with the vmware client. I used unsuccessfully the following tools: Firefox, Konqueror, and lynx. I don't have squid running. HELP! Evan -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
