Have you tried modprobing it? And if so and it still didn't work, did
you check /var/log/messages or dmesg for why the module wouldn't want
to play with your camera?

Thanks for the pointer for the messsages log.

Hmmm. Obviously, something is up

Feb 22 14:15:20 win-linux kernel: gspca: no version for
"struct_module" found: kernel tainted.
Feb 22 14:15:20 win-linux kernel: gspca: version magic
'2.6.19-1.2911.fc6 SMP mod_unload 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS ' should be
'2.6.19-1.2911.fc6 SMP mod_unload 586 REGPARM 4KSTACKS '

but I have NO clue as to how to proceed.

uname -a reports:

Linux win-linux 2.6.19-1.2911.fc6 #1 SMP Sat Feb 10 15:03:33 EST 2007
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
