I just upgraded to FC6 re-spin from FC5.
And lo my system comes up in yucky TWM. No nice gnome FC6 wallpaper
or anything.
How do I get this thing back to gnome?
My /etc/X11/xinit/Xclients file is dated Nov 11
Following the logic
GSESSION="$(which gnome-session 2>/dev/null)"
returns a blank GSESSION, there is no gnome-session anywhere. The
/etc/sysconfig/desktop is set to GNOME, so the script does a failsafe
to twm.
Did the FC6 upgrade mess up? Can I just yum install gnome-session?
Well "yum install gnome-session" brought in gnome volume manager, gphoto
and gnome-session.
I now have the familiar gnome environment up.
I wonder what else is missing?
This is the first time a Fedora upgrade has screwed up on me.
