Usb/udev/kernel problem

This box is an i686 box, but for some reason I have i586 kernels and
kernel-devel packages installed. I think this may be relevant to this
problem.

Yesterday I compiled the latest pwc driver. Everything was working perfectly
yesterday evening. After booting this morning I found that the webcam had
not got a video* setting. Starting from a command line I didn't really see
what was happening, so I ran tail against messages.

mod_unload 586 REGPARM 4KSTACKS ' should be '2.6.19-1.2911.fc6 SMP mod_unload
686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS '

Advice, please? Should I install an i686 kernel and kernel-devel, then
compile again? If the driver was compiled against an i586 kernel, why is it
seeking 'mod_unload 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS'?

Anne
