Wild Mouse

I replaced a dead M$ mouse with a Logitech. The new mouse works OK 
except that every 30 seconds or so, the pointer moves to the upper 
left corner of the screen, which is sort of annoying.

Do I need to change something in the xorg.conf file for the new mouse?
