Hi, there seems to be more trouble in kernel-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6, though aome things seem better. My experiences: Sound on my laptop (a brand new Fuijtsu-Siemens Lifebook E8110) stops working with this kernel (worked ok before): Jan 24 08:06:07 rglaptop6 kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1b.0[A] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 23 Jan 24 08:06:07 rglaptop6 kernel: si3054: cannot initialize. EXT MID = 0000 Jan 24 08:06:07 rglaptop6 kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:00:1b.0 disabled Jan 24 08:06:07 rglaptop6 kernel: HDA Intel: probe of 0000:00:1b.0 failed with error -13 Excerpt from modprobe.conf: alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel options snd-card-0 index=0 options snd-hda-intel index=0 model=fujitsu remove snd-hda-intel { /usr/sbin/alsactl store 0 >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; }; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-hda-intel sky2 ethernet driver seems to behave better (I hope): With any kernel before the start of the sky2 driver hung up the machine around 3 of 4 times I started the machine (probably a problem with interrupt in conjunction with the dual core cpu). At least the last two starts of the new kernel worked without a hassle (though no good statistic yet ;-) ).
