Hi James, This did help and I found the best information about it here: http://vimrc-dissection.blogspot.com/2006/09/vim-7-turn-off-parenparenthesis whateve.html It seems like it wasn't intentional for this to make it into the vim release. I did Google the problem before making the post, but I was searching for matching brackets, not parens. Thanks, Cameron
