I tried irqpoll and all-generic-ide with FC5, it didnot work for me, I also had to use pci=nommconf. I suppose I can try FC6 now. When you say you read and write CD/DVD, do you mean after the installation, linux would recognize the DVD drive? Do you have a CD/DVD drive or just CD?
