I am installing VMware and it is asking for the location of the directory
of C header files that match the running kernel. I searched and found the
directory: /usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-1.2868.fc6-i586/include/linux. There is
another directory with a little different version:
/usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-1.2849.fc6-i586/include/linux. I am just wondering
if the .h files are the header VMware is asking for?

Thanks,

The
/usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-1.2868.fc6-i586/include/linux
has the header files for the kernel-2.6.18-1.2868.fc6-i586
which looks to be the more recent of the two kernels
you appear to have on your system. If you type "uname -r"
at your prompt, what is returned?
