[root@evanp ~]# /usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password' /usr/bin/mysqladmin: Can't turn off logging; error: 'Access denied; you need the SUPER privilege for this operation' [root@evanp ~]# By the way, this is a brand new install. I did not drop any tables. Using Add/Remove software I removed mysql and reinstalled it. Tried the instructions and still does not work. Why wouldn't install the mysql database? Any suggestions?
