what's running check4updates?

Hi all,

On my FC6 system, I don't have any automatically updating enabled; I
just run yum once in awhile.

However, I am seeing that something is running something called
"check4updates" and "0check4updates"; worse, it crashes, leaving the
rpm db in an unstable state, usually entailing rpm --rebuilddb.

I don't see anything that looks likely in the Administration -->
Server Settings --> Services app, nor do I see anything in /etc/init.d
that looks likely. I installed smart awhile back, but I stopped using
it as it gave too many problems. Does it do auto-updates? I assume it
must be run by a cron job but I don't see one anywhere.

Thanks.
