It encourages people to trust someone else when they shouldn't, they should do their own checking. They shouldn't beleive any outsider that the mail is safe. After all, what are hackers/crackers/vandals going to do? Tell you to trust them, or warn you not to? The message is easily faked by someone setting out to hack you.
