Or just drag-and-drop in nautilus, if you're using gnome.

Go to System->Preferences->Removable Drives and Media and check the "Burn a CD or DVD button". Then, when you insert the blank cd, nautilus pops up and
you can drag and drop files there.

In kde (and in gnome too) you can use k3b.

Consider also cdrdao for command line.

Try 'brasero' for FC-6. Great GUI.

and gcdmaster for audio-CDs only.
