with a standard install of FC6, ntfs support isn't installed. You should rebuild your kernel after having setting this option

I installed fc6 onto a pc that had windows xp installed on an ntfs filesystem.

I wish to access some of the files from the ntfs filesystem from within linux.

I added the line:

/dev/sda1 /windows ntfs rw,auto,user 0 0

to my /etc/fstab

When I tried to mount /windows, I get an error saying unrecognized filesystem type ntfs.

How should I specify this filesystem to be able to access it?
