Hi,
Edit -> Preferences -> Mail Preferences -> Junk -> Check incoming mail
for junk.

I have to warn you that this will slow down significantly the speed of
your mail checking.

Then setup spamd to start at bootup (System -> Administration ->
Services)
Then check this site:http://www.rulesemporium.com/ read and download the
appropriate rules in your spamassassin directory (it should
be /etc/mail/spamassassin)
Then in the scripts that call "spamassassin" change that to "spamc".
It is good to read through http://www.spamassassin.org/ and the
manpages, especially Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf
