While I think it'd probably be more of a drag for it to constantly check for changes, perhaps there ought to be some way of doing a rescan for additions. Anything that installed a Nautilus plug-in could issue such a command as its last intallation action. -- (Currently testing FC5, but still running FC4, if that's important.)
