Thanks Garry - that did work - 

Now that is can mount I have a umount problem!!   If I do 
umount /mnt/F 
then I get:
Nov 17 13:13:23 gestalt kernel:  CIFS VFS: No response for cmd 116 mid 11
Nov 17 13:13:55 gestalt kernel:  CIFS VFS: RFC1001 size 35 bigger than SMB for
Mid=11


Are there are parameters that are needed for the umount to work properly?
