After upgrading my laptop from FC4 to FC6, I'm trying to configure bcm43xx. So far, no luck. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks!

You might want to read through the following bug:

[Bug 186329] bcm43xx not enabled by default.

at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=186329 (you will probably need to create a Red Hat bugzilla account if you don't have one). It's kind of turned into a running account of people's successes and failures with the bcm43xx driver.

Cheers,
Dave

I appreciate everyone's response. It turns out the problem was more fundamental. Somehow the laptop's radio transmitter had gotten turned off. I had to find the key combo that turned it back on. (Probably found it by mistake the first time.) That saga was covered in the thread I started "Problems with wireless". I now have wireless working on my laptop using bcm43xx and Fedora Core 6.You know how you feel elated at the small things sometimes? I'm extremely pleased with myself for for the moment. :)
