I install jre from Sun and made link in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins to /usr/java/blah/ns7/libjava.... I also installed flash and it put the plugin in "plugins". It put the xpt file in components. Oh, make sure you have lib-compat 3.x version install as flash isn't compiled for GCC 4.x
