I'm puzzled why it _only_ installed a xen kernel. We had that happen
before, and backtracked as it turned out to be 'not a good idea'(tm).

When I did the first FC6 install on a Dell d610 laptop (the day FC6 was
released) I did select virualisation - and it ONLY installed the xen kernel. I
am not sure if I will be able to get away with installing the non-xen kernel
when the next kernel update arrives so I guess for that machine I will probably
have to do a re-install.

Reinstallation is completely unnecessary. You can merely install the non Xen kernel.
