Looks like I was struck by old at rpms from fc3. rpm -q -a | grep -i fc3 found a ton of outdated libs which have been removed with yum erase `rpm -q -a | grep -i fc3` I'm now reinstalling a few packages that I do actually want that rpm thought were dependent on these old fc3 rpm's and things are looking good.
