It is one of the reasons a fresh install is generally recommended.
Consistency is a good thing and I understand the philosophy. Granted, being an early adopter is laden with pitfalls. I do also agree that this should be noted as a "Common Issue." Hopefully, the "Bugzilla Bug 212507: yum-updatesd auto update feature is broken" at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=212507 issue will also get resolved soon. Even with now knowing to do a manual yum install of yum-updatesd and yum-utils, updates aren't working yet. In the meantime, I plan to go back to launching a cron job every night and watch for new news.
