I tend to agree with the folks who *don't* want some sort of mandatory survey as the final install step. A compromise would be to include a prominent link on the default browser page (the one that loads from a file). This won't get feedback from upgrades but will allow input from new installs (all newbies and experienced folks who like clean installs). Nobody is forced to do it this way.
