I too have experienced that error message (recently) and in my infinite
wisdom :-) did NOTHING and alas when attempting a yum update earlier
today/yesterday it connected just fine and I update a whole slew of KDE
related stuff, about 62 files or so.

I suspect it may have been POM dependent... :-)

I am installing FC6 on my dev box presently.
